Orlando4Villas Driving Tips

Driving in Orlando Florida for the 1st Time
You can sometimes be a little nervous when driving in another country for the first time, but it is not difficult.

Avoiding the Queues

I would recommend that after a long flight the lead name on car hire go straight to the your car hire supplier Dollar or Budget and let the family members collect the luggage.

Collecting Your Vehicle
When Collecting your Vehicle from the Supplier you will be asked to sign a Slip to confirm your vechicle has no damage Please be sure to check this before you sign if you see any Damage then please report it immediately

Driving From Airports
Orlando4Villas will provide you with the Directions from the 2 major Airports Orlando ( MCO ) and Sanford your 1st Drive will be from the Airport to your Vacation home as a 1st time Driver we would suggest that you use the Route SR-417 South this is a Toll Road and a little quieter than the Interstate and you will require approx $6.00 this is more than enough to cover the Toll charges from either Airport.

Driving on Right
The main thing to remember when driving in Florida is that they drive on Right side of the Road.

Turning Right on Red at a Traffic Signal
Strange as it may seem  but in Orlando Florida you can Turn Right when the Traffic Signal is on Red but only if the coast is clear. You must first come to a complete stop first... Cars in front of you may go through the Red Light and turn right. This is normal and you should do the same. Some intersections forbid the right turn on red but this will be clearly signposted. In the absence of a sign you are safe to assume right turn on red is allowed.

School Buses
Please Note that if you are Driving behind a School Bus which has stopped with it's orange lights flashing you are required to stop immediately and wait for the school bus lights to stop flashing before moving on.
