OK but not great considering the rental price
Overall we enjoyed our stay but there are a few provisos. First the positives. The property was clean and well maintained inside and the welcome package was nice. But we could have done with less coffee and sugar and more washing powder and dishwashing tablets as we ended up buying more and having to leave them (hopefully for the next renters). However there are some issues. We never met anyone from the rental company our entire stay. No one checked everything was working or if we were happy. We simply arrived and then left 10 days later. Had anyone bothered I would have told them that the outdoor areas were very poor to the extent we never used the pool once in our stay. The garden was quite unkempt with pathways blocked by bits of trees and plants. The cushions on the pool furniture were badly mouldy and looked disgusting - no way were we sitting on them. The outdoor grill was dirty and snakes were living in the cupboard underneath it. The balconies were cobwebby and unclean. It was nowhere near as nice as the pictures make out. We were also told that we had to wash pool towels before we left, not leave more than 2 loads of house towels and only use one set of bedding per bed - I've never been told that before. For the money we were paying I would have thought that would be included and had to buy extra washing powder to do this. I thought that was very strange. Also the cinema room was in the garage and so had no air con and in mid-summer was too hot to use. There seemed to be a lot of house rules and fines for non-compliance which doesn't give a restful experience. Reunion was a strange resort as well. This property is in a very quiet area with lots of plots yet to be built on - other areas looked more finished and better landscaped, especially overlooking the golf courses. There is also a lot of building going on everywhere. We were also surprised to see that to use the Reunion facilities we had to apply 7 days before we arrived which no one told us to do and so we missed out and the water park on the resort we assumed was included was a paid activity so we used the Disney water parks instead. Next time we visit Orlando we will certainly stay in a different resort area as there is very little within a 20 minute drive.
